MANHATTAN—Prosecutors Against Gun Violence (PAGV), members of American State Legislators for Gun Violence Prevention (ASLGVP), and the Law Enforcement Partnership to Prevent Gun Violence have convened here in a national summit on gun violence prevention.
At the conclusion of the summit on Tuesday, April 4th, prosecutors, state legislators, and police will formally announce a multi-state effort to enact state legislation in two key areas:
Today, Delegate Sullivan introduced legislation establishing 21 days of early voting in Virginia and automatic registration legislation for Virginians who conduct business at the DMV.
Below is a statement released by Gov. Terry McAuliffe following the signing into law of Del. Sullivan's Net Energy Metering legislation, HB 1950, on April 22, 2015.
Delegate Sullivan introduced legislation today that would require Virginia electric and gas utilities to meet annual energy savings benchmarks beginning in 2016. The legislation directs the State Corporation Commission to develop incentives for utilities that exceed their annual energy savings goals and penalties for utilities that fail to comply.
